EXO-M: Mama

MAMA can you please tell me, why people can change
Did those perfect days that I heard of really exist before
I had already long forgotten that I should work harder to love people
I had already long forgotten that my heart should embrace people
Is pretending to be busy a life of only protecting yourself?

I don't know what is with me and these creepy lyrics, but I can’t resist songs with good beats and violin arrangements. I actually heard this in Korean first, but I fell in love with the Chinese version mainly because I can sing in Chinese but fail miserably in Korean.

Right, next time, I’ll pick a less depressing song to feature. I promise! o(>o<)o

ラブコメ Love Come

love comeA timid anime screenwriter, Miharu has been working hard on finishing his series inspired from his childhood crush, Makie. Unfortunately, he can’t seem to find the inspiration he needs to write a proper ending because he’s still in love with her, even though it has been 17 years since he’s last seen her. He decides to pay Makie a visit (or rather, “stalk her”) at their family’s flower shop where Makie is now the manager.

I’ve seen this show twice on Screen Red Asia, and I still get all these fluffy feelings afterwards. Even the side story of Makie’s assistant Ryoko and the anime voice actor Nishijima had a rather nice touch to it.

Personally, Makie is my favorite character, because it’s not everyday that I get to see a tomboy-ish girl fall in love with (as in my brother’s words) “such a pathetic guy!” I was only interested in watching this because Miharu is an anime screenwriter! How could I resist that?

Oh, and the mere fact that my brother watched this with me should be enough to tell you that this is not one of those long-winding dramas that guys get bored with. It’s a light-hearted, romantic comedy that’s really cute and highly recommended! I should find the DVD copy…

To The Beautiful You

Somebody gave me a link to this teaser trailer for the upcoming Korean drama,  Areumdawun Geodaeege 아름다운 그대에게 (To the Beautiful You) and I thought of sharing it here...

If the setting seems familiar to you, then it's because it is the Korean adaptation of the popular shoujo manga, Hanazakari no Kimitachi e, or Hana Kimi. Created by Nakajo Hisaya, this 23-volume series tells about a young girl who disguises herself as a boy so that she could enter the all-boys high school which her athlete idol also attends.

This has already been successfully adapted into TV dramas last 2006 in Taiwan, and twice (2007, 2011) in Japan. I wonder if this Korean version will offer us anything new and exciting? The cast includes young performers like SHINee's Choi Min Ho (remember this video?), Choi Seul Ri, Suh Joon Young and a bunch of names I'm honestly not familar with. I hope this will turn out really well like other manga-based K-dramas like Boys Over Flowers and City Hunter. Let's just cross our fingers and wait expectantly for its premiere this August 15! \(^o^)/

Oh No! Manga Cosplay Camp

Ironic how I draw death when it’s the official series launch! (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ  ┻━┻

I think my brain’s been corrupted. Why am I drawing strange things like this after a long break? I do like the overall “dramatic” effect, but it just looks plain creepy!

Anyway, I hope I’ll see you guys at the launch. It’s on a Sunday, the 29th of July 2012 at the SM North Sky Dome! We’ve got a ton of prizes in store, so please pass by and meet all your favorite Oh No! Manga artists~! ヽ(・ω・ゞ)

On another note, who said blue and red can’t be used together in one scene? Break all the rules, I say, break them!

Wow Toy Museum

ah my goddess! banpei figure

When I went to visit my uncle some time ago, he had already updated his Toy Museum with two new rooms full of toys. The museum is located in his house, so it makes me wonder if he will still have a room to sleep in once he’s done displaying all the toys in his collection.
